Regular tea consumption helps to maintain cardiovascular health and in particular, helps to maintain vascular function (your circulatory system).Tea is a rich source of flavonoids and in western populations, tea provides the main source of flavonoids in the diet. Green tea brews are rich in flavonoids called, ‘catechins’, whilst black tea flavonoids are called thearubigins and theaflavins. Both green and black tea have similar benefits on heart health.
